ElaborationGhritapoora is a vitalizer, a cardiac tonic, aphrodisiac, heavy to digest, it pacifies Vaata and Pitta , increases Kapha, Rakta ( haematinic ), and Maamsa ( flesh ). In the original classics and later classical texts, it is described in various forms like Dugdha Ghritapoora ( milk, the main ingredient ), Naarikela Ghritapoora ( prepared from fresh coconut ), S`haalee Ghritapoora ( prepared from rice grains ).
