ElaborationThe substances, which are beneficial to heart, are called Hridya Dravya. This beneficial action is oriented either towards the structure of Hridaya or its functions.
Since heart is the seat of Atman ( soul ) and the Maanas ( mind ) these substances are beneficial for the mental faculties too.
The Hridya substances generally possess sour taste .
