ElaborationThis activity is not restricted to Vaata Dosha alone but encompasses a wide spectrum ( e. g. to arrest diarrhoea, bleeding, arresting flow of S`hukra ). These Dravya possess attributes like dry, cold, mild, soft, subtle, tender yet firm, fluid and stable e. g. Kut`aja ( Holarrhena antidysenterica ).
The site of their action varies e. g. in vomiting the site will be stomach ; in diarrhoea it would be the small or large intestine.
