Implied MeaningFoodstuffs that don’t get digested easily.
ElaborationThese foodstuffs are heavy to digest. Substances which require more than six hours for their digestion and those which cause discomfort in digestion are termed Durjara . They have following properties – Madhura ( sweet ) in Rasa and Vipaaka, Guru ( heavy ), Snigdha ( unctuous ), and Sthoola ( bulky ). E. g. Buffalo milk, Cheese, Paneera , Wheat etc.
