Elaboration | Substances like Ghee have this action, which is described by Charakaachaarya . Ghee being unctuous, and cold it pacifies heat in the body. Nirvaapan`a is pacification of burning pain, observed in ripening wounds caused by Pitta and Rakta . Cooling measure is employed in the cases when there is heat, suppuration and fever due to aggravation of Pitta and Rakta . For this thin paste of substances having cold potency like Doorvaa etc. are pounded with milk and plenty of Ghee to make paste. Then it is applied over the ulcer. |
