Elaboration | Pregnant women express various desires related to 5 senses ( S`habda , Spars`ha, Roopa , Rasa and Gandha ). These are the demands made by the growing foetus for its development. Hence it is necessary to fulfil those desires to avoid any untoward effect on the foetus, which may culminate in manifestation of congenital condition or anomaly.
