ElaborationThese are various membranes, which form the inner lining of various body constituents. Their main function is to permit trans membrane movement of nutrients and waste products and thus maintain the metabolic activity and homeostasis. The secretions are of two types in consistency watery and gel like. It is found in almost all the body constituents. As per the site and function they are classified into seven categories:
