Literary MeaningM / W – fried barley or rice or any grain fried and reduced to powder, corn, grain
Implied MeaningFried barley is known as Dhaana and germinated barley when fried, is known as Virud`hadhaana.
ElaborationIt is mainly indicated for depletion of Dhaatu and Dosha ( as Lekhana Karma ). Owing to its dryness it is refreshing and due to its heaviness it is difficult to digest.
