Elaboration | Various instruments are used for suction purpose. E. g. 1. To draw up vitiated breast milk 2. To suck out vitiated blood or poison with S`hringa ( deer horn ) or Alaaboo . The idea is to let the vitiating matter out from the site and to facilitate healing. This works on the principle of creating a vacuum thus making the secretions ooze out actively from the cut surface. It was also used to isolate the abdominal lumps for excision. |
