Classical Description | Arun`a Trivrit is more useful and harmless than S`hyaamaa Trivrit. Its root is collected from soil of good quality, in S`huklapaksha (15 days of moon\’s increase)wearing white clothes. The root should be deeply rooted smooth and should not be transeversely spread (Atiryagvisrit). The bark is seperated from the root and dried to make use of. According to Bhaavaprakaas`ha Nighan`t`u it is Vaatahara. |
Other Information | Arun`a Trivrita can be used in Sukumaara, Baalaka, Vriddha as well as Mridukosht`ha. In Charaka Samhitaa 110 formulations of Trivrit for Virechana are quoted. Due to various Kalpa_s it is quoted as \’Sarvarogahara\’ C.K. 7. Adulteration:- Also stem peices of Trivrit are sold as Black Nis`otha in place of root. Ref.
