Elaboration | If a pregnant woman consumes unwholesome diet or follows unsuitable lifestyle, then it possibly leads to bleeding through vagina in the first trimester. This result in spontaneous abortion as in the first trimester the foetus is delicate and unstable. Various Garbhavyaapad described in Samhita are: Garbhasraava – Miscarriage upto the fourth month of pregnancy ( S. Ni. 8 / 10 ) Garbhapaata – Abortion after the 4th month of pregnancy when the foetus has stabilised Upavisht`aka Naagodara Leenagarbha Mritagarbha 3 to 6 are all different types of intra uterine growth retardation to intra uterine death of the foetus. |
