Elaboration | Qualities of Dravya are described in Charaka Samhitaa. Dravya Sampat is one of the qualities of a substance to be used as medicine. It should be dry, devoid of insects and possess essential Rasa ( appropriate taste ). In Kaas`hyapa Samhitaa , qualities of good teeth are comprehensively described. Teeth should be similar, regular, white, shining unctuous, devoid of any disease and fully developed. Their enamels should be similarly arranged, gums should be reddish in colour and strongly adherent to base ( Ghanasthira Moolataa ). |
