|Walking with a comfortable speed gives many advantages. It helps to decrease Meda ( fat ) and Kapha . The digestive power becomes strong. It imparts strength to all physical and mental faculties. Walking can overcome fatigue and weakness. Thus it leads to a healthy life. It is one of the treatments advised in उरुस्तंभ and वातरक्त .
One should never walk barefoot.
