Literary MeaningProcessed food articles
Implied MeaningThis is a group of food preparations. The properties of such food preparations are sometimes natural and sometimes they result from the special method of preparation involved like combination or processing with heat.
ElaborationThis group comprises preparations like thin gruel ( Peyaa ), thick gruel ( Vilepee ), gruel water ( Man`d`a ) etc. These are recommended to various patients as per their digestive power. The way of preparation as well as involvement and quality of heat in preparation, amount of water added defines the lightness or heaviness of the recipe. E. g. Peyaa is easy to digest compared to Akrita Yoosha . So the recipes from this group are recommended to patients, who have undergone some purificatory measure like emesis, purgation etc. as a main diet to be taken in sequential manner ( संसर्जन क्रम ).
