Elaboration | It is one of twenty attributes ( Vims`hati Gun`a ). It has adhesive characteristics. With this attribute Dhaatu are nourished and various tissues are reunited. It is very useful in reuniting bones in fractures and promoting healing of wounds. It is useful in forming a coat over internal and external ulcers as well as intestinal ulcers. It is also used in the Pichchhaa Basti for healing in anal fissures. Presence of this Gun`a causes lubrication of the channels of the body and it facilitates easy excretion of fasces. E. g. Isabgola ( Plantago Ovata Husk .) Sus`hruta describes other functions of Pichchhila attribute viz. Jeevana , Balya , Sandhaana |
