Elaboration | 1 ) It is a concept from Triskandha Ayurveda ( Hetu – Linga – Aushadha = Cause – Symptom – Medicine ) 2 ) First of all causative factors of disease, internal or external, directly or indirectly create an imbalance in Dosha , and only then symptoms of the disease manifest. The causative factors can be food, life style or other activities. All these factors affect one, two or all three Dosha . Various types of causative factors described in Maadhavanidaana: 1. Vyabhichaari, Doora ( indirect cause ), Nikat`a ( Direct cause ), Praadhaaniktva ( Main Cause ) 2. Asaatmyaindriyaartha ( improper contact of objects with respective sense organs ) ( Pradnyaaparaadha ) 3. Vyanjaka , Utpaadaka ( disease producing causes ) 4. Baahya ( External cause like trauma ), Aabhyantara ( internal cause i. e. vitiation of Dosha ) |
