Elaboration | This type of sudation is mainly useful to treat Vaata Vyaadhi . Patient is immersed in a tub filled with medicated milk, oil or decoction ( prepared by Vaatahara herbs ). Avagaahana possesses liquid, unctuous and hot attributes, which pacify Rooksha ( dry ) and S`heeta ( cold ) attributes of Vaata . The patient is asked to lie in hot decoction after oleation till he can tolerate the heat. This relieves the pain, spasm and swelling as the potency of the medication resolves the occlusions to Vaata movement. It is a treatment modality of choice in urolithiasis. |
